God is not interested of the fact that we kill to eat, because if it was like that he wouldn’t then have to create all living things in general, because even the invisible things (bacteria, etc.) are alive, and we kill them when we breath or when we are in motion. God’s main focus is not what we do with animals, but how is your heart towards Him. See this, He gave us the 10 Commandments (Exodus 20) to guide us, to show our hearts in the mirror. Our nature is sinful (as we see in the mirror of God’s Word), we live in a world were sin is the sickness of our hearts and the hearts of everything in existence. Sin is the wall that separates us from God and that’s why the world sees God as something impossible to reach or simply as an imaginary friend.
Friends, it is true that murder is wrong, but it works as follows:
1. Polyteism (When there is only one God, the Creator of all)
2. Graven images (God deserves all the credit and worship. He is a jealous God of His creation, because He owns everything and only humans are turning away from Him),
3. Swearing (Taking the Lord’s name in vain)
4. Not remembering the Sabbath day as Holy
5. Disobedience to parents
6. Murder (Jesus said that if you hate your brother you are a murderer.)
7. Adultery (Jesus said that if you look at a woman to lust for her you have commited adultery with her in your heart)
8. Theft (The value and past is irrelevant)
9. False witness (Lying lips are an abomination to the LORD -Proverbs 12:22a)
10. Coveting (Have you ever desired anithyng that your nighbor posess?)
Have you ever broke any of those Commandments? Every criminal (those who transgress the law) must be punished by the law maker. Well, God’s stantards are higher than the one on earth and we break them constantly. He even wrote those Commandments in our heart (in our conscience: con=with; science=knowledge) so we may be alarmed when we transgress His perfect Law.
If God judges you by the 10 Commandments, would you consider yourself innocent or guilty? Be honest to Him and yourself. Do you deserve to go to Heaven or Hell, accordingly to what the Bible say (What you think criminals deserve)? In the eyes of men they are good, but in the eyes of God its another story, our righteousness is for Him like filthy rags (Isaiah 64:6), “there is none righteous and none who does good” (Romans 3:9-19). We are all guilty in the eyes of God, there is no doubt. But, God did something to pay your fine, to set you free from the consequences of your sins, “For God so loved the world that He gave His only begotten Son, that whoever believes in Him should not perish but have everlasting life. For God did not send His Son into the world to condemn the world, but that the world through Him might be saved.” -John 3:16-17
Friends, your good deeds or good life is not valuable enough to go to heaven. You don’t go to heaven by your own effort or works, but through God’s Son, Jesus Christ. “Jesus said: I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father except through Me.” -John 14:6
The only way you can be saved is through repentance (By turning away from your sins ) and putting your trust in Jesus (Like you would trust a parachutte at 10,000ft, an elevator, and an unknown commercial pilot). Come to Jesus, and forget all the non-sense of this deceiving world. Eating veggies and having a good health its important for our body, but the world is sick spiritualy by sin, you must be redeemed from that, not by stopping the murder of animals, but by repenting of all your sins and putting all your trust in Jesus Christ. He will never fail you. Read your Bible daily and obey it and go to a church where the gospel (the Bible) is preached.
Get right with God today. There’s nothing more important than your eternal salvation.
Pray with an honest heart:
Oh God, I confess that I have sinned against you. Please forgive me for every transgression commited (name each one), and save me from this world, which only brings deception. I know now that I do not deserve your gift of salvation, because I am not good enough, but God you are enough and your Son did what was enough, He died to save me from the consequences of sin, which is death. Thank you Jesus for what you did, and please remember me, like you remembered the thief on the cross. Please re-write my name in the book of life and seal me with your Holy Spirit. In your Name I pray. Amen.
Please, get a church, and tell them that you want to learn more about the gospel, more about Jesus Christ, because He saved you and that is your new desire, to honor Him in every step you make.
