Are You a Good Person?

Are You a Good Person?

A person must be morally perfect to claim such farce called “I’m a good person:”

– You must be all knowing.
– You must be all present.
– You must be all powerful.
– You must be morally perfect, not like a god, but like God.

No one in his right mind will call himself “Good person” after reading God’s resumé, [1]”for all have sinned and fall short of the glory of God,”, because [2]”As it is written: “There is none righteous, no, not one;” [3]”But we are all like an unclean thing, And all our righteousnesses are like filthy rags; We all fade as a leaf, And our iniquities, like the wind, have taken us away.”

If we want to go to heaven we must understand where we stand as sinners and who Jesus is as the payment for our transgressions. We must know Him who saves us and report to Him in obedience, without a complaining heart. If we miss that, then we are in big trouble the day we die. Today’s world takes a stand before God like activists who riot to impose their wicked values towards society. They believe they can manage to sabotage God’s perfect Law to ascend as gods in order to implement their own liberal laws (moral relativism). An imperfect world who call themselves “good,” who’s principles are no more than opinions, assumptions, excuses, idolatry, lies, adultery/fornication/sensualism, aggression, drunkness, abuse, confusion, control, guilt, love of money, jealousy, envy, covetousness, dishonor to parents, murder, hatred, gossip, boasting, blaspheming the name of God, unfaithful, careless, and much more…

And the pain falls like a curtain
On the things I once called certain
And I have to say the words I fear the most
I just don’t know

And the questions without answers
Come and paralyze the dancer
So I stand here on the stage afraid to move
Afraid to fall, oh, but fall I must
On this truth that my life has been formed from the dust

God is God and I am not
I can only see a part of the picture He’s painting
God is God and I am man
So I’ll never understand it all
For only God is God

And the sky begins to thunder
And I’m filled with awe and wonder
‘Til the only burning question that remains
Is who am I

Can I form a single mountain
Take the stars in hand and count them
Can I even take a breath without God giving it to me
He is first and last before all that has been
Beyond all that will pass

Oh, how great are the riches of His wisdom and knowledge
How unsearchable for to Him and through Him and from Him are all things

So let us worship before the throne
Of the One who is worthy of worship alone

Get right with God. Turn away from your useless desires and walk towards the cross, where there is true hope and eternal assurance. In other words, repent from your sins and put your trust in Jesus Christ, the only access to salvation. No man, no deeds, no angels, no religion, etc., can save you from the wages of sin, death, but the only begotten Son of God can, Jesus Christ.
